This is a great compilation. I've always had a fondness for NovaMute, as they seem to "get" their audience much more than other labels. The hook with this two-disc set is great - they put the audio tracks and the mp3s for those tracks on the same disc and the whole thing retails for about $15 - better bargain than most compilations being put out these days. Besides, it's got Debasser's "Fat Girls" on it, which makes the booty move, even if you don't want it to.

Goldfrapp has put a new album out - Handsome Pete reports that it's different from Felt Mountain (one of my favorite records in 2001 - beautiful, atmospheric stuff) while still maintaining their high quality levels.

Go get your 25-cent issue of Uncanny X-Men this week - it's actually quite good. Chuck Austen seems to finally be in the groove and Ron Garney shook off his wannabe-Andy-Kubert stylings and became a good artist when nobody was looking. Loss leaders issues like this are the new holofoil covers, kids.
