Promotional: Nitroglycerin // Other Junk
Soon, there will be a new Nitroglycerin strip up at the BOOM! Studios site, but, as we're both based on the East Coast, you can already read a larger format version over at Birdie's WebComicsNation page! Take that, left coast hippies.
A reminder: if you think you'd like to read comics by Birdie and myself that aren't hindered by a need to keep Evil Overlord Ross Richie happy, check out Agreeable Comics.

Here, have some Star Trek inspirational posters, OK?

Music-related pet peeves of the day:
- Jazz albums that just throw in alternate takes right in the middle of a record. I was listening to the (admittedly quite excellent) Clifford Brown Memorial Album last night and I'd heard "Carvin' The Rock" three times in the first 9 cuts. Great track, but I'd rather hear "Cherokee" earlier.
- The whole UK 2CDs-for-each-single rule. Yes, I know it's got something to do with arcane chart rules, but it's still vexing for trainspotters like me to purchase two discs for a handful of remixes and get things like a radio edit twice over.
- I think it's really great that Depeche Mode remastered and re-released three of their seminal albums, but sticking the bonus tracks on the DVD so they can't be ripped to Mother Box or played on a regular CD player seems sort of backwards, and a 5.1 surround mix of material recorded originally in stereo is about as pointless as these things get. The Cure, now there's a band that knows how to treat their fans right, with nice box sets of all the b-sides and rarities and album re-releases that I can do whatever I want with.
- Get these pesky kids off my lawn, dammit! I want to listen to my Victorola and enjoy my phosphate in peace before I retire to my sitting room!
