Hi, BoingBoing!
Pal Ryan emailed me and let me know I'd hit the big time, so I thought I'd introduce myself.
My name's Kevin Church and I write about comic books and whatever ephemera hoves into my view, which occasionally includes a post about music or random links that feature bears harassing Russian citizens. Comics, however, are my real passion. Here's sort of a semi-random "personal favorites" list of things that I've written for this site:
Seriously, my archives are filled with a truly egregious amount of words about complete crap.
If you're more visually minded, I also have a photographic blog and a Flickr account.
This is the promotional bit. You can skip it if you so desire.
Did you like the Watchmen remix? Sure you did! That's why you may want to check out the forthcoming (as in Oct. 11th) What Were They Thinking: Monster Mash-Up comic. There's three stories in there that I've similarly defiled for the gang at BOOM! Studios, who let me write their promotional webcomic Nitroglycerin.
My writing is also featured in two other upcoming BOOM! titles.
There's also a minicomic featuring writing by me and Nitroglycerin artist Benjamin Birdie. You can buy the 8-page Agreeable Comics sampler now.
The promotional bit is over.
Now, tell me a little about yourself. If you're visiting and blog, put a link in the comments so I can check you out!

Comics, however, are my real passion. Here's sort of a semi-random "personal favorites" list of things that I've written for this site:
- An overview of Justice League American 38-40.
- One of my infamous "Shit That's Killing Comics" lists. These have since become much less cruel, sadly.
- These Are My Words: Five Random Thoughts About Mainstream Comics.
- Pop-culture valentines of dubious merit.
- The Comics Bloggers Roast of Dave Campbell of Dave's Long Box.
- A birthday card that I made for my girlfriend.
- The secret origin of Lex Luthor.
- An overview of Nightcat, a very bad comic.
Seriously, my archives are filled with a truly egregious amount of words about complete crap.
