A YEAR OF GIVEAWAYS: Two Volumes of Marvel’s BLADE!

Let’s give it up for Jordan Shiveley, who won last week’s contest! Jordan picked the Coatimundi, which is, let’s face it, a pretty darn cute mammal.
This week, I’m giving away something slightly stupid and gorgeous! Marc Guggenheim’s run on Blade with Howard Chaykin is big, over-the-top, and a close-to-perfect example of comics about a half-vampire that kills other vampires with swords and guns and whatever else he’s got handy. I’ve got the two trades collecting the entirety of the Guggenheim/Chaykin run: Undead Again and Sins of the Father and you can win them by naming your favorite vampire that is not Dracula in the comments to this post!
Just leave said comment before 12:01 AM on Saturday, May 1, 2010 to qualify and the winner will be chosen using Random.org’s random number generator. Previous entrants do, in fact qualify, because I’m such a nice fellow like that. Comments that don’t qualify (such as the person from the Harley Quinn contest a few weeks ago who just babbled about how great the Dodsons are without actually answering the very basic question provided) will be deleted.
Terms And Conditions:? Please note that because of shipping costs, this contest is for residents of the United States of America and Canada. You must leave your email address with your comment to qualify, as I’m not going to spend any time hunting down someone who didn’t want to be contacted about their amazing prize. One comment per person and yes, I will know if you cheat and will probably mock you in public.

Max Schreck (Willem Dafoe) in Shadow of the Vampire.
I’ve always been a fan of the vampire band in From Dusk Till Dawn.
Mandrakk
Eben Olemaun
Sethra Lavode from Steven Brust’s Vlad Taltos series.
Count Duckula.
Kurt Barlow from ‘Salem’s Lot.
Strahd von Zarovitch. Yes, I am letting my D&D freak flag fly!
Count Orlok, hands down.
D from Vampire Hunter D. This was my first anime and it’s still one of the best.
Klaus Kinski as Nosferatu.
Hannibal King!
Someone else beat me to Duckula, so . . .
Varnae, the father of all vampires!
My favorite vampire would HAVE to be I, Vampyre from Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang’s magnificent series, Doctor Thirteen, and the Architects, or whatever it was called. That was some fabulous vampiring. And he’s just so suave.
I’ve got a soft spot for Blacula.
My favorite non-Dracula vampire is bunnicula or Vampirella.
favorite vampire that is not Dracula- Eli a centuries-old vampire child from the Swedish novel Låt den rätte komma in ( English- Let the Right One In)
Bunnicula all the way.
Hannibal King for the win!
George Smith, from Sturgeon’s _Some of your Blood._ He likes his ladies especially during that one week a month…pretty racy for a book published in 1961.
Vampire Batman, from those Doug Moench/ Kelly Jones Elseworlds comics. He has giant batwings AND a giant cape.
Count Julius a.k.a. Prymal the Nazi vampire gorilla from Dr. 13
I like the Shambler from the Stars (or Space Vampire, if you will), from the Robert Bloch short story. Alternatively, Ronnie Strickland the OCD vampire teen from the X-Files episode with Luke Wilson.
Count von Count from Sesame Street.
Alucard, from Castlevania
Amilyn… the vampire Paul Rubens played in Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
Crucifer, from the Claremont/Byrne JLA issues.
No, I’m just kidding. I can’t go with anyone other than our old friend Proinsias Cassidy from Preacher.
Spike.
Count Blah! from Greg the Bunny, blah!
Angel, if only because he is the only vampire in recent memory to sing “Mandy” at a karaoke bar.
Joan Rivers
Jerry Dandrige from Fright Night.
Jesse Hooker aka Lance Freaking Henriksen from the Near Dark movie. Vampire rednecks!
Count von Count, my favorite Muppet vampire.
Jody from Bloodsucking Fiends by Christopher Moore.
Gotta’ go with Count Chocula.
Vampire Willow from the Doppleganland episode of Buffy!
Blacula.
Prince Mamuwalde has all the style.
Do those leatherwing creeps from the Beastmaster count?
If not, I’d go with David from the Lost Boys. But really it’s those Beastmaster weirdos.
I’m going to say the vampire from “Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem,” partly because it’s a great video game boss, partly because no one’s mentioned him yet, but mostly because I really really love me some “Eternal Darkness.”
Joe Pitt from the books by Charlie Huston.
DEFINITELY Bunnicula.
Bill Paxton as Severen in Near Dark. Still Kathryn Bigelow’s best film, damn it.
I’m still kind of attached to Lestat, despite the pantsing this type of vampire got in Preacher.
