DESIGN FETISH: The Hasting Borough Council’s Anti-Dog Sh*t Campaign

I live near a pedestrian/bicycle trail where people frequently walk their dogs. I’ve always felt the signage was far too polite and think this is a logical next step.
I have two dogs and clean up after them with a vengeance – nothing makes me more upset then when I’m walking the dogs and I see random piles of dog feces around my neighborhood.
Not only does it make dog owners who clean up after their pets look bad, but also my dogs will occasionally step in other dog’s messes and leave me with an evening of washing my dogs and the floor of the apartment. I’ve thought about putting up signs like this around the neighborhood, but unfortunately I don’t think it would do any good since their would be no fine to accompany it.
