From the Google Features page for Suggested Search (emphasis mine):
Search term suggestions on Google.com are powered by the Google Suggest service. Google Suggest communicates with Google while you type in order to offer suggestions to you. All the information you send to Google — such as searches you type or ones you select in Google Suggest — is protected by Google’s privacy policy. When providing suggestions, Google Suggest doesn’t refer to anyone’s personal searches; it uses information about the relative popularity of common searches to rank its suggestions.
Think about it, won’t you?

OK, really stupid follow-up question: I haven’t been following the x-books at all for a while. Does this reflect some recent Identity Crisis-style plot point, or is curiosity about kitty pryde rape just a nasty, endemic thing?
have you seen her outfit?
Keith–The last we saw of Kitty Pryde she was in a giant space bullet rocketing towards deep space, and not one single super-hero on Earth could be bothered to go and try to save her.
So this is just what Kitty Pryde fans are like. She’s the fantasy girl-friend of scores of nerds. These results probably shouldn’t come as much of a surprise as they do.
Gods I hate people.
Only 868 results? Disappointing.
Was I the only one who missed that Juno played Kitty in X-3? Goes to show how much I’ve blocked it out, I guess.
That makes three Oscar winners and one future Oscar nominee trapped together in a terrible movie.
She’s the fantasy girl-friend of scores of nerds.
That’s probably true, but since when did “fantasy girl-friend” (or even real girl-friend) equal “rape”!?
I think, rather than being a comment on all things perverted in the world, this reflects that someone in a fairly well-trafficked article made a bad joke:

That’s probably true, but since when did “fantasy girl-friend†(or even real girl-friend) equal “rapeâ€!?
You’ve seen the sorts of things nerds get up to on the internet, right?
Well, I thank you for at least putting all the Google hits I get from people looking for “Emma Frost naked” into horrifying, nauseating perspective. Jesus Christ, that’s disturbing.
“So this is just what Kitty Pryde fans are like.”
Right. Every single last one of them. In fact, having any fondness for or good memory of the character automatically places you on the exact same level of those searching for the rape material.
The logic of the Self-Hating Geek, ladies and gentlemen.
