    Seeing this makes me realize that Dexter might have had a chance of being a good show if it was written by Kyle Baker instead of the team of Law and Order: SVU rejects they actually hired.

    You’re right about Dexter. Its a neat concept, but virtually everything else about the show is amateur at best. You’re not missing out.

    I would disagree, but only on the basis that the unintentional homo-eroticism between Michael C. Hall and Jimmy Smits last season was HILARIOUS.

    It’s overcooked in order to be “daring” like most of the rest of Showtime’s fare. Nothing they do could possibly be as bad as The L Word, though.

    I watch Dexter, but I don’t really recommend it to people.  Actually, I’m a little embarassed to still watch it, as the whole concept gets more and more labored over time.
