(Power Pack Related) Thought of the Moment

I really need the number of Marvel’s dealer. He’s selling them some fantastic stuff.

Well the pocket books run 7 bucks each. And this is basically three of them. So that means $3 more for hard-cover. Seems reasonable…
In all seriousness, a major part of graphic novels are sold these days to libraries, and libraries prefer hardcover (longer-lasting and more durable). For a kid-friendly property, this one actually makes a lot more sense than, say, the $99 Secret Wars II anthology.
Easy to ask a parent to spend: $7. Not so easy to ask a parent to spend: $25.
A very good point. I was actually thinking that kid-book sized library-oriented editions for each story with a similar format to the Little Golden Books wouldn’t be a bad idea at all.
I’m, uh… I’m totally getting that Power Pack hardcover.
I know, Chris. I know.
I know for a fact that these hardcover Tintin collections, which in terms of pagecount and size are very comparable to what you describe, are doing boffo library business. So there’s that to consider.
That is pretty much exactly what I wanted. That new Power Pack stuff is fantastic.
I’d be fine with a paperback, too, but hardcover will do.
Marvel’s dealer? Marvel IS the dealer. The stuff doesn’t have to be fantastic when it is intensely, cripplingly, physically addictive.
There’s actually a method to the madness that I can understand here. As a comic book pushing uncle, I’ve seen that my niece and nephew can utterly destroy comic books very quickly, and the digests don’t last a lot longer. Hardcover books have a bit more staying power.
