So, yeah, a new site!

You’ll want to make sure that any bookmarks have been changed to beaucoupkevin.com/blog/, even with the redirect in place.
Yes, I’ll fill in the sidebar and stuff real soon now; I’ve spent all day knee-deep in CSS and now need a long, hot shower and a few beers before I dive in with all the back-end stuff. Thanks for your patience!
Update:
Reader Steve was kind enough to help me get a new LiveJournal feed started, so add bk_feed to your friends over there, or click the icon on the right.

Pure technological curiosity here – what advantages do you get at word press that prompted the move from blogger?
BTW – the new site looks nice and clean.

Blogger’s recently FTP outage made me realize it was a good idea to consolidate things so that I didn’t have to worry about other services if I wanted my site to be updated. Add in better commenting facilities and enough widgetry to choke a horse and it was a clear match for me.
In addition to all that, I’d also wanted to do a redesign and I’ve seen many more WordPress templates that suited my needs than blogger ones; even if I’m getting decent at CSS, I still like to start from someone else’s base code.
Just checked in after a week of no internets. I have much back reading to do, but I do like the new site. Will you still be changing your header every month?
Always liked the new header every month.
