Joe at the Forbidden Planet blog gave readers a heads-up about a recent auction featuring an unfilmed James Bond script from the mid-70s, written by then-recently-replaced Bond Sean Connery with well-regarded thriller writer Len Deighton and producer Kevin McClory, who would later go on to make Never Say Never Again with Connery. The script, which was expected to go for £3,000, fetched over £46,000 at Christie’s Pop Culture auction event. Being a fan of 007, I was eager to get a glimpse at this piece that I’d heard vague rumbles about and as the page below shows, I was not disappointed.
